They said this would be a viable move as part of efforts to find lasting solution to the scarcity of Kerosene which had hit the state in recent times.
The Chairman of the marketers in Anambra, Chief Osita Ofodile made the call in an interview with newsmen in Awka on Monday.

“We hardly get kerosene to sell as independent marketers because supply is not steady.
“That is why we are urging the NNPC and federal government to double their efforts to get the Enugu depot and refineries in the country back on track as soon as possible so that people can lead normal lives.
“Meanwhile they should import massively and distribute just was as the case of fuel so that they can be available at a cheaper rate, as it is now you large crowd is at the NNPC mega station because we don’t have”, he said.
Ofodile however, commended the efforts of the Federal Government at ensuring security in the country and urged it to extend same to the protection of the nation’s petroleum products pipelines.
Residents of Awka trooped to the NNPC mega station in which was selling kerosene as they could not get to buy at the filling stations around.
