Jonathan approves appointment of Martin Thomas as NHIS Executive Secretary

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mr Martin Oluwafemi Thomas as the new Executive Secretary, National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), for a period of four years.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and signed by Mr Innocent Abu, the Chief Information Officer.
The statement said the appointment, which took effect from Nov. 19, is line with Section 3(1) of the National Health Insurance Scheme Act 1999.
