APC NEC Accepts Composition Of Ogun Interim Committee

The National Executive Council of All Progressives Congress (APC), has accepted the composition of the State Interim Committee for Ogun State. The decision, among others, was reached at the just concluded 8th NEC meeting of APC in Abuja, which was presided by the party’s Interim National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande.

The meeting held on Thursday was also attended by former head of state, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the governors of Rivers, Lagos, Edo, Nasarawa, Kwara, Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Sokoto, Ekiti, Ogun as well as the Deputy Governors of Oyo, Imo, Kano and Zamfara states.

LEADERSHIP Weekend gathered that the APC NEC, after reviewing updates nationwide, accepted the composition of the interim committees of some states.

A document obtained by our correspondent showed that election of the party’s interim committee in Ogun State had already been concluded but petition was received on it.

The document also indicated that the exercise had been concluded in Ekiti and Ondo states and now awaiting the vetting of the Interim Executive Committee (IEC).
