The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday sneered at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, saying his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is reflective of his perpetual political voyage and that he will return to the PDP.
This was stated by the deputy national chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, who spoke as chairman at a PDP women workshop tagged “PDP National Women Leader’s Consultative Workshop with Women in Media”, held at the PDP national secretariat, Abuja.
Atiku over the weekend formally joined the APC in Yola, Adamawa, his home state, where he declared that the days of PDP in power were numbered.
But Secondus noted that Atiku’s defection to the APC is not new, adding that the former Vice President will eventually return to the party.
He said “We are waiting for Atiku to go on this voyage and come back. He has done it before; it is not the first time.”
