Gov. Mukhtar Yero, announced this at the launch of the project, which also covers provision of water, health facilities, science and technical schools across the state.
He said part of the money would be used to complete the Zaria water works, and the rehabilitation of other water schemes in Zonkwa, Kafanchan, Kagoro and Saminaka.
Yero described the collaboration with the IDB as a watershed, saying it would impact profoundly on the lives of the people.
The governor assured that the hospital project would be completed on time, adding that it was conceived by the government to provide world standard tertiary medical care to the people.
He said the government would use part of the IDB fund to complete and fully equip the hospital, “which has reached 67 per cent completion stage”.
Yero said the government was also determined to improve the literacy level and healthy conditions of the people.
“We remain steadfast and focused in providing the much needed environment for investment,” he added.
In a remark, IDB Country Director, Mr Mahmud Kamara, said the collaboration with the state government was to improve the socioeconomic status of the people, in line with the bank’s objective of promoting solidarity among members.
The country director said that he was optimistic that the money would contribute to the success of the government’s transformation agenda.
