Brazil 2014: Fashola drums support for NFSC

All is set for the Pre-World Cup event to mobilize financial resources to send a large number of supporters to cheer Nigeria’s Super Eagles to victory at the FlFA World Cup Finals which kicks off in Brazil in a forth night.

Tagged Fund Raising Dinner Towards Brazil 2014, the event which is organized by the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) will hold on Tuesday, March 20, 2014 at the prestigious Civic Center on Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island. It will start by 7pm prompt and it is strictly by invitation.

Spokesman of the event managers and veteran sports journalist, Effiong Nyong, disclosed in Lagos yesterday that Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) who is the Special Guest of Honor will lead other prominent citizens and captains of industries to grace the occasion.

Among the chief executives of companies who have signified their intentions to attend the occasion are those from Globacom Nigeria Limited, Zinox Technologies Group and Industrial and General Insurance Plc (IGI) as well as some prominent Nigerians who will receive Patron Awards from the Supporters Club.

Also speaking on the event, President General of NFSC, Dr. Rafiu Oladipo (JP) revealed that the Supporters Club will roll out the red carpet for the invited guests, adding that he has no doubt in his mind that there will be a large turnout of guests who will like to associate with this noble course.
Said he, We are looking forward to realizing a large chunk of the money we need to send many of our members made up of drummers, trumpeters and singers as well as other supporters to cheer the Super Eagles in Brazil to ensure that our boys feel at home during the competition in the South American country .
