As the 2015 general election draws near, the former House of Representatives Speaker, Aminu Bello Masari, has revealed President Goodluck Jonathan’s fate in the polls.

Masari, who is Katsina State APC governorship candidate, said, in his view, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari will win the election.

The Nation reports that the former speaker, who made this known while speaking in Kaduna during a meeting with Katsina State indigenes resident at the weekend, said if the people’s votes should count, Buhari would beat President Jonathan hands down.

He said bad leadership, corruption and lack of foresight are the problems of the Jonathan administration.

Masari explained that if we should take the number of votes from Northwest, and that of the Southwest; 90 per cent of Northeast is APC, while 90 per cent of Northwest is APC, 80 per cent of South-west is APC. Edo is APC, adding that the worst scenario is Rivers.

He, however, expressed optimism that for the fact that Rivers state government is APC, it would not be easy for anybody to try and rig election in the state. He said the population of Southsouth is not up to Lagos or Kano, adding that the only stronghold of PDP now is the Southsouth and the Southeast.
Meanwhile, at the weekend, the Peoples Democratic Party reportedly raked in about N21 billion for its campaign, while the All Progressive Congress is getting set for action, with a meeting today of its Chibuke Amaechi-led campaign committee.
