The Federal Government has pronounced Thursday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Dec. 26 as public holiday to celebrate Christmas and Boxing Day festivals.

This is contained in an announcement marked by Mr Abubakar Magaji, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, and made accessible to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja.

The announcement said Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015 had likewise been announced as open occasion to check the New Year.

As per the announcement, the Minister of Interior, Mr Abba Moro, made the assertion for the benefit of the central government.

In the announcement, Moro ordered Nigerians, especially the Christian steadfast, to amplify the profound profits of Christmas to their day by day living and through this, help the improvement of the country.

While wishing all Nigerians a content Christmas and prosperous New Year festivals, the pastor additionally urged them to utilize the event to appeal to God for peace and solidarity in the nation.
