Many terrorists reportedly died after falling into
an ambush by Nigerian soldiers, laid between Maiduguri and Damboa, Borno
State on December 19.
Sahara Reporters informs that the clash occurred after the troops moved to stop the militants attacking the electricity engineers who were working at the site.
As a result of the battle a large number of terrorists was said to have been killed. Their weapons and vehicles were seized by the soldiers. The recovered weapons include the explosives, rocket propelled grenades and rifles. Two brave soldiers lost their lives in the fight.
Defence Spokesman, Major General Chris Olukolade, confirmed the incidents without providing however the exact figures saying they are yet to be ascertained.
