According to aviation-safety, the jet has sustained substantial damage in a runway excursion during landing at about 11:05 (local time). The three crew members were taken to the 37 Military Hospital in the Ghanaian capital.

However, SaharaReporters remind that the members of the public doubt safety standards at the Kotoka International Airport, Ghana. They recall an 2012 incident, when a Nigerian Cargo plane skidded off the tarmac and run into a passenger vehicle killing about 10 passengers.
