The nose of the aircraft was damaged by what seems to be the separated engine #2.
The circumstances of the crash-landing are being investigated. Bad weather conditions are considered as the main contributing factor.

It would be noted that Ethiopian Airlines considered to be among Africa’s best in terms of safety. It has recorded 64 incidents / occurrences that claimed 324 lives since 1965.

However, SaharaReporters remind that the members of the public doubt safety standards at the Kotoka International Airport, Ghana. They recall an 2012 incident, when a Nigerian Cargo plane skidded off the tarmac and run into a passenger vehicle killing about 10 passengers.
