Nineteen ships laden with foods, petroleum products and other goods have arrived Lagos ports, waiting to berth.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) made the announcement in its publication – ‘Shipping Position’- made available to newsmen in Lagos.

According to the document, 10 of the ships arrived with petrol, aviation fuel and diesel.
It said the remaining nine ships sailed in with rice, crude palm oil and general cargo.

NPA stated in the document that it was expecting 36 other ships to arrive the Lagos ports from Feb. 11 to Feb. 27.

It explained that 17 of the expected ships would sail in with containers, while five others would arrive with general cargo.

The publication noted that rice, bulk sugar, buckwheat, frozen fish and crude palm oil were expected to arrive in 11 ships.

It also indicated that base oil and kerosene would arrive in three ships. (NAN)
