President Goodluck Jonathan and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke have been sued by Abuja indigenes under the aegis of original inhabitants of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

They are suing the president for not appointing Abuja indigenous people as ministers into the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Recently, eight ministerial nominees were sent to the Senate for confirmation by Jonathan and no native of Abuja was among the nominees which prompted the suit.

The Abuja indigenes, in a suit filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja, by the General Counsel of the Original Inhabitants Development Association of Abuja (OIDA), Musa Baba-Panya are seeking a declaration that the indigenes of Abuja are entitled to ministerial appointments into the FEC.
