Latest reports coming out of Borno State, northern Nigeria inform that the Nigerian military on Tuesday night surrounded no fewer than 6000 members of the Islamist militants group, Boko Haram, in Madagali and Gulak area of the state.
This detail was disclosed by a Twitter account belonging to a Private military Contractor(Humint) with the account name @DonKlericuzio.
According to series of tweets posted on the account some hours ago, the Nigerian Army are using all forms of military tactics and methods against the dreaded terrorists sect which has resulted to trapping of thousands of the insurgents.
It was further revealed that Nigerian Defense HQ source says there are plans with neighbouring countries for about 35,000 – 40,000 Boko Haram fighters to put down their arms and surrender to the military.
Eight BokoHaram IED makers and would be Suicide Bomb Couriers have being taken into custody in Yola, north east of Nigeria, it was gathered.
Also, the correspondent informed that security operatives of the Lake Chad Basin Commission carried out a coordinated operation in vicinity of Ngala and Banki against the terrorists, adding that MNJTF forces carried out counter-offensive attacks against the insurgents in Krenoa through the use of the Nigeria’s Alpha jets airstrike.
The report added that as a result of the bombardment, dozens of the
terrorists were killed and several captured with 5 soldiers killed.

In a related development, Reuters had reported that Chadian troops
have entered Gamboru town in Borno State, the town close to the
Cameroon border which has been under the control of the insurgents for
several months.
“Our troops entered Nigeria this morning. The combat is ongoing,” one of the sources at Chad’s army headquarters told Reuters.
Chad military authorities had deployed some 2,500 troops as part of a
regional effort to take on the militant group that has waged a bloody
insurgency in northern Nigeria for over three years.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian troops were reported at the weekend to have finally entered the notorious Sambisa forest which has been the safe haven for the Boko Haram terrorists
