State Security Service(SSS), also known as the Department of State Services, allegedly has arrested former governor of Bayelsa State Timipre Sylva.

On February 2nd, Sylva said President Jonathan would only get 25% of the votes in his own state in February 14 poll.
Ex-Governor of Bayelsa State and his loyalists in the New Peoples Democratic Party, defected the party for the All Progressives Congress.
