RCCG Makes Her Stand Known Concerning 2015 Elections

Just few days ago news went viral about how Pastor Adeboye, the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria were supporting President Goodluck Jonathan instead of his own son, Prof Osinbajo.

In the purported report, it was made known that the overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Bakare in a sermon titled “The Sweet And Sour Ministry Of The Prophet”, allegedly blasted pastor Adeboye and the 2 major Christian bodies in Nigeria saying,  ”some of the compromising Christian leaders he often described as palace prophets, were only after their pockets, which was why they have queued behind Jonathan and rejected their son.”

However latest report has made it known that it was all a hoax that the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye is against his own song. Pastor Yemi Osinbajo who is the running mate of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate has been offered the opportunity to address christian leaders and get the much needed vote in the upcoming presidential election.

According to Kemi Filani, KFB Osinbajo is presently speaking at Pastor E.A Adeboye’s annual lecture series tagged ‘Harmonizing virtues to gain Heaven and Earthly Prosperity’ . The annual lecture which boasts of a large crowd from all walks of life including Christians and Leaders of Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria.

Also, in an alleged report by the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, here is what the church body wants you know:

There are 14 parties contesting in the Presidential Elections and over the past weeks we have seen various moves and tactics by the various parties to undermine the stances of the others either by attacking policies or individual candidates.

However a fallout from what was previously perceived by many neutrals as an excellent political move by the APC – (the adoption of a senior pastor in RCCG as it’s Vice-Presidential Candidate) is fast becoming a glaring sign of desperation on the part of APC to rule Nigeria at all cost.

Picking a Senior Pastor from within RCCG is as brilliant as it gets but the church remains a mission and not a political body or platform and as such does not endorse any individual or party for any election in Nigeria…or elsewhere.

But with this report, instead of getting people to know that the stand of the overseer and the church is clear, some people claiming to be Senior Pastors from the church body have been going around Northern Nigerian States (Minna, Niger State and Sokoto State) falsefully saying the G.O wants every member to vote for change.

In as much as the overseer will want not want anything to come in between him and pastor Osinbajo, he does not think that should make anyone to think it pass the way it is. Everyone is entitled to vote his/her own choice of candidate.

The only change Daddy G.O will ask anyone to embrace is not the one from any political party but the one brought about by accepting JESUS CHRIST and LIVING HOLY! Let no one be deceived. It is your right to vote for whoever you choose. It would be recalled that just recently, a group called Youth Ballot Evolution had an online poll between President Goodluck Jonathan and Gen. Buhari. The poll result showed that Jonathan won. This got a great reaction from people especially when Pastor Adeboye’s first son re-shared the poll results.
