One million-Man March: Entertainers hold sway at Teslim Balogun Stadium

The Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, which is the finish line of the All Progressives Congress one million-man march is presently buzzing with energy as loud music continuously blares from different corners of the sports complex and its environs.

Comedians and musicians are also getting some attention from the organisers of the rally while others have an opportunity to exhibit their dancing skills.

Only a handful of the dignitaries like senators Gbenga Ashafa and Oluremi Tinubu, have arrived at the stadium as the trek, which started from Maryland, continues along Ikorodu Road.

Different cultural groups, especially Yoruba and Hausa groups, are performing different songs and chanting “Sai Baba.”

Meanwhile, there is heavy traffic around Jibowu, Ojuelegba, Fadeyi and the National Stadium due to the mega march.

According to traffic reports made available by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, the traffic along Ikorodu Road is gradually easing.

The march, which started around Maryland bus stop at 8am, is expected to terminate at the Teslim Balogun Stadium by 2pm.
