Robbery Gang Tie Up Security Guard and Proceeded To Do This To The Residents

 Detectives attached to the  Lagos State Police Command are on the manhunt for members of a gang of fleeing armed robbers who allegedly tied up a security man and  attempted to rob residents in the state. 

Naij.com gathered that the suspected armed robbers, numbering about six, stormed Plot 12, Ayetibo drive, Isheri. In a bid to rob the residents, the suspected armed robbers tied up the security man attached to the gate with a rope after beating him up with a dangerous weapon.

Police source stated that neighbours who got wind of the armed robbery attempt hurriedly  placed a distress call to the  Isheri police station and a team of policemen stormed the house. They arrested one of the suspected armed robbers identified as Kazeem Afolabi,  while others fled.

When contacted over the incident,the Lagos State Police spokesperson DSP Kenneth Nwosu confirmed the incident.

He said “On April 4th 2015, policemen attached to the Isheri police station arrested one Kazeem Afolabi at plot 12 Ayetibo drive Isheri. The suspects and others at large tied the security guard with a rope in an attempt to rob the residents. The police are on the trail of the armed robbers. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department  for thorough investigation“.
