Some igbo leaders have began to commend President Muhammadu Buhari on a succesful 30 day in office as the president.
First off was the Presidential candidate of the United Progressive Party, UPP, Chief Chekwas Okerie who revealed that within 30 days of being on the helm, the president has shown positive results.

He said even though ministers have not yet been appointed, he revealed that the positive yields were all made possible because of the character of the president.
He said that the nation has been witnessing better electricity and the citizens are now more determined to go to work.
He however wasn’t happy with the internal mess going on in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and demanded that Buhari takes care of their problem.

He cautioned that the APC and the Buhari’s administration should be conscious of the nationality of the country and the spirit of the federal character as contained in the Constitution.
He said, “For the APC, they must be sensitive and should not concentrate leadership in the north. Nigeria is a country of nationalities, if they decide to concentrate power in the north it will hurt the party.”
Another Igbo leader, former member of the House of Representatives and Senatorial Candidate in the last general election for Imo East, Hon. Uche Onyeagocha said he feels that Buhari has looked cautious in the first 30 days.

He revealed that Buhari is fully determined to not let Nigeria fail and not lose the massive support he was given for granted.
He also was worried over the lack of ministerial appointments but he asked Buhari to try to get things going.
He said that the expectation was that on assumption of office, the president should move in a fire cracker situation, adding that whatsoever was the case, the president was entitled to his pace.
Buhari first 30 days in office has been filled by mostly drama from his ruling party who have been fighting over political positions.
