After six weeks of mounting the saddle, Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on Thursday, forwarded a list of 24 Commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation. But no parable captures the make-up of Ugwuanyi’s emerging cabinet dominated by recycled politicians like the Biblical parable of “Old Wine in New Wine Skin”.

The commissioners and their portfolios include:

1. Dr Godwin Udeuhele (Information)

2. Chief Miletus Ezeugwuorie (Justice)

3. Mr Mike Eneh (Agriculture)

4. Mr Chuka Ndukwe (Youths and Sports)

5. Mr Fide Ani (Chieftaincy Matters)

6. Mrs Chinelo Mbah (Special Duties)

7. Mr Sam Nwobodo (Commerce and Industry)

8. Prof. Uche Eze (Education)

9. Mr Chidi Aroh (Enugu Capital Development Authority)

10. Chief Fidel Ayogu (Environment)

11. Mrs Eucharia Offor (Finance)

12. Mr Greg Nnaji (Science and Technology)

13. Mrs Princess Nnaji (Gender Affairs)

14. Dr Samuel Ngwu (Health)

It would be recalled that the commissioners and Special Advisers were inaugurated on July 16, following their clearance by the State House of Assembly.
