One of former Governor of Lagos, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s investment Oriental Hotel, has been slammed with N500m Right Infringement suit by the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON).

Several text messages have been sent out to most Globacom (GLO), customers indicating that COSON has sued Lagos Oriental hotel.

The text message widely sent out reads; ”Lagos Oriental hotel slapped with N500m copy Right Infringement suit by COSON GM. Philip Speihage, joined in action. COSON warns that no one is above the law. COSON is working. Let the music play”.
The hospitality outfit, is yet to confirm or react to this public announcement made by COSON yesterday Tuesday, July 21, 2015.
However, COSON was established in order to ensure that the rights of persons from other lands who have interest in music used in Nigeria are protected and are known for wasting no time at suing its offenders.
