Alleged Suspect Attacks Jonathan’s Former Aide, Police Sources

Alex Oyoro, the man alleged to be the lover of a woman, Fina Maiki, who allegedly bore false witness against Reno Omokri, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s aide, has denied the report.

The man, who got in touch with Naij.com after reading the story, stated categorically that the story about him being an accomplice to the woman who has since been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Asaba.

Oyoro alleged that the reports by Omkri were false, insisting that the woman in question was never arrested by the police.

We read the falsehood perpetrated by Bemigho Reno Omokri which you published in your online media Naij.com under the title ‘Police Arrest Woman Who Bore False Witness Against Omokri’. And states that Bemigho Reno Omokri LIED

1. The police never arrested Fina Maiki as falsely narrated to you by Bemigho Reno Omokri and they are not intensifying any effort to arrest Alex Oyoro. Rather it is Bemigho Reno Omokri that has been invited to answer to the petition against him on intimidation, threat to life criminal trespass, malicious damage and continuous harassment of Fina Maiki written to the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Police command, Asaba since 13th Feb., 2015.

2. Bemigho Reno Omokri had in a recorded telephone conversation with the police admitted sending his pastor and others to the Oyoro’s house on 11th Feb., 2005

3. At about 9:00am on the 11th Feb., 2015 about five armed men in mobile police uniform in company of a carpenter, electrician and other thugs invaded the premises of the Oyoro’s, broke the key to the main gate forced themselves through the gates discounted the light from the pole, damaged the wires, climbed the roof of the building and pulled down/damaged part of the roof, and busted the windows and in the process damaged some of our properties.

4. Mrs. Oyoro who was inside the house hid herself in the wardrobe initially because she was scared as she sensed they were armed robbers or assassins but summed up courage when she pipped and saw some of the armed men putting on mobile police uniform among the group and when she requested to know why they were destroying her properties and why they forced their way through the roof they told her that they were acting on the instruction of Bemigho Reno Omokri, who they call her ‘landlord’ that he gave them instruction to destroy the house and her properties to make the place uninhabitable for her. That what she is witnessing is a tip of the iceberg and that if she does not vacate the building immediately that they cannot guarantee her safety and that of her family and properties in future. The hoodlums carted away a big ‘Ghana-must-go’ bag containing huge sum of money from the house. They also painted with red paint on the fence in two places the inscription
‘This House Belongs to Bemigho Omokri, Fina Oyoro is being evicted at customary court in case No. 561/2012’ whereas the case is still pending in the Uvwie Customary Court Effurun to date.

5. This is not the first time Bemigho Reno Omokri is harassing the Oyoro’s. On the 4th Dec., 2012 Bemigho Reno Omokri at 9:00pm invaded the premise of the Oyoro’s in company of armed military men who claimed to come from Abuja and threatened Mrs Oyoro who was breast feeding her little baby that if she does not vacate the property immediately she will be dealt with drastically. But for the timely intervention of a telephone call Bemigho Reno Omokri received which made him to scamper with his armed military men only God knows what would have happened that night.

6. Mrs Oyoro reported the matter at Ugborikoko police station and the police visited the premises and saw the damages. Photographs and video recordings were taken and are in the police custody.

7. The police in Asaba have given Bemigho Reno Omokri 30th Sept., 2015 as deadline to report to their office in Asaba in person to answer all these allegations against him. Because he cannot be committing heinous crime and be using proxies to represent him in the police station and in court.

8. It is therefore treacherous for Bemigho Reno Omokri to be feeding the media with falsehood when he is the accused in this criminal matter. BemighoReno Omokri wants to turn a criminal matter into a civil matter by instituting a suit in High Court of Justice, Asaba on deformation of character, whereas he admitted to the police on phone that he actually sent people to Mrs. Oyoro’s house. Bemigho Reno Omokri has been known to indulge in fraudulent characteristics as have been reported in several media. Even in his legal profession where he is a partner in the law firm of Odiase-lawyers consulting he bears the name Bemigho Ogbareno in that firm to hide his true identity, what a falsehood. Yet he claims to be a pastor.
