For the embattled former Petroleum Minister, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, things are about to get from bad to worse after she was reportedly caught while trying to buy an expensive apartment in UK, according to UK’s The Sun Newspaper.

The report by the paper said: “MS Diezani Alison-Madueke Nigeria’s former oil minister, has just been nicked in London over allegations that £13billion (yes, £13billion) has gone walkabout from her country’s coffers.”

“Apparently she was looking at buying a massively expensive apartment at One Hyde Park. With £13bn I’m surprised she didn’t buy the whole of Hyde Park.”

The former minister is currently being investigated over alleged money laundering case and bribery.

She was arrested on Friday in the United Kingdom, for alleged bribery and corruption-related charges.

NigerianEye recalls that Diezani also denied any wrong doing when accused by the then Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who is now the Emir of Kano, of alleged misappropriation of $20 billion oil money some months ago.

Mrs Alison-Madueke was Petroleum Minister between 2010 and 2015.
