The wife of the Nigerian president, Aisha Buhari, has pleaded with private sectors and Nigerians in general to support Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Borno state and other affected parts of the country.
With a view to helping the IDPs relocate home after spending two to three years in the camps, the wife of the president said: “to a lot of them its like starting life all over again and the little assistance from good natured citizens will go a long way in helping them to settle down and start life afresh.”
She said this when she received a delegation of four women who recently climbed the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilamanjaro, in aid of raising funds for the IDPs.
