APC Support Group Tells Buhari What To Do About Biafra Agitation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Coalition Support Group, south-south chapter has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to intercede and dialogue with the Pro-Biafra agitators in order for peace to reign in the south-eastern part of the country.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that the national vice chairman of the group, made this appeal to the president on Tuesday, December 8 in Abuja.

He said the agitators needed to be given a reason to believe in Nigeria.

“At this juncture, let me call on the federal government to dialogue with those agitating for Biafra, we must not treat the call for the renewal of Biafra with an iron fist.

“We must let dialogue prevail by showing the Easterners every reason why everyone, no matter the tribe, needs the united nation of Nigeria,” he said

Obasogu applauded members of the group for the roles they played during the 2015 general elections which helped the APC to triumph.

Mr Sam Atasia, the national publicity secretary of the group said it was important for the coalition support group to support President Buhari. He expressed optimism in the president’s ability to lead Nigeria right.

He said: “Supporting President Muhammadu Buhari will enable us attain our desires and dreams as a nation.

“The purpose of this group is to drum up support for the APC-led government and be a link between our members and the government.”

Meanwhile, that rocked the country over the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra.
