Latest reports just reaching our news desk has it that Olukayode Ajulo, the national secretary of Labour Party (LP) today, December 8, has resigned from office.

Ajulo in a letter addressed to the national chairman, informed the party that his resignation is to allow him to pay attention concentrate on his law practice, business and do projects that promote humanity, ThisDay reports.

The lawyer who ran as the senatorial candidate of the party for the Federal Capital Territory in 2011 had been at variance with the leadership style of the National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsamn.
The crisis rocking the party started shortly after the last general election, when Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, the former national chairman, raised an alarm over alleged misappropriation of funds generated during the conduct of primary election.

Ajulo is a lawyer, unionist, politician and civil rights activist. He is a principal partner of Kayode Ajulo & Co. Castle of Law, (a full commercial law firm in Abuja with contacts in Lagos, Akure, Kaduna, Jos, Ibadan, Enugu, London, Cardiff, Kumasi and Bangui).
He is also the founder/Chairman of the Egalitarian Mission, Africa, a non-governmental and non-profit making Organisation for the promotion of rule of law, social and economic equality in Africa.
Kayode Ajulo is a member of several organisations, including; Avant Garde International, International Association of Human Rights Lawyers, Nigerian Red Cross, the Nigerian Institute of Management, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and International Bar Association(IBA), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK.
