FT: Arsenal, Chelsea made the Champions League round of 16 after encouraging wins over Olympiakos and FC Porto respectively.

Olivier Giroud scored a hat-trick for Arsenal in a match they never looked like losing. Jose Mourinho would be proud of his side after they FC Porto.

Star players like Hazard, Diego Costa and Oscar were all in top form.

Chelsea and Arsenal have their faith in their hands when they face Porto and Olympiakos respectively. Lose and you drop to the Europa League like Manchester United.

Though Chelsea are top of their group with 10 points, they are level on points with Porto who they play and two ahead of Dynamo Kiev who play Maccabi Tel Aviv.

If Chelsea lose and Dynamo win, The Ukranian’s go through. Like it was yesterday with Man Utd, Wolfsburg and PSV any team could drop to the Europa League.

Arsenal are also in a plucky situation, they are third in their group behind Bayern Munich (already qualified) and Olympiakos.

Arsenal must better the 3 – 2 defeat they suffered to the Greek team in London on match day two or they drop to the Europa League ‘like Manchester United’.
