Ayodele Fayose, the Ekiti state governor, harshly criticized the APC policies regarding petroleum sector and claims by Lai Mohammed of the Nigerian Armed Forces being on the verge of defeating Boko Haram.
Fayose has, in a recent statement issued by his assistant on media, criticized the APC-led government’s plans to reduce petrol pump price.
In the same statement, Fayose urged Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, who stated that the military is about to once and for all purge Boko Haram from Nigeria, to relocate to the areas of Nigeria most suffering from terror attacks — Sambisa forest or Yobe state.
Earlier this week, Fayose states that his predecessor, Kayode Fayemi, is responsible for the indebted state of Ekiti. The APC have subsequently issued a seven-day ultimatum to Governor Ayodele Fayose to render accounts of all the monies he has received since he assumed office, threatening to launch an investigation should Fayose fail to submit the report. The APC have alleged Fayose might have manufactured figures on the state’s financial status to tarnish the reputation of former governor Fayemi.
