According to the group, the arrest is capable of creating instability in the region and the whole country.

PM News reports that the warning was contained in a statement made by Udengs Eradiri, the president of the IYC.

Eradiri alleged that the invitation of Tompolo by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was a ploy by the federal government to slam terrorism charges and other related charges on him.

He noted that the move shows that by the APC-led government it is not prepared to rule the country in peace.

“The federal government wants to create unnecessary distraction for itself. It has insurgency of Boko Haram in the North East, pro-Biafra agitation in the East and now it wants to instigate crisis in the Niger Delta region,” he said.
