The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, December 23 2015, denied owing their staff December salaries.

 

This was contained in a press statement titled “Re: Payment Of APC Staff Salaries”and signed by Edegbe Odemwingie, the Assistant Director on Publicity for APC.

The statement read: “The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a false report published in some national Newspapers on Wednesday December 23, 2015 alleging that employees of the party have not been paid salaries for December.

“The report and the allegations made are false. APC employees have not only been paid their December salary, food items have also been distributed to all APC employees to mark Eid-El-Maulud and Christmas celebrations respectively.

John Odigie-Oyegun, the National Chairman of the APC said the party does not toy with the salaaries and welfare of their employees and the operations of the APC National Secretariat is in strict adherence to the Change Agenda of the party.

“The APC does not indulge in the practice of obtaining funds from state governments or diverting security votes to fund party activities.

“The media is encouraged to cross-check facts before publishing,” he said.
