REVEALED! The Nigerian Stars To Perform At The 2015 Glo/CAF Award

A host of Nigerian and other African stars have been billed to perform at the 2015 Glo/CAF awards which will be held on January 7 in Abuja. 

Yaya Toure won the 2014 African Footballer of the year at the 2015 Glo/CAF awards

 According to The Punch, African stars to perform include Salif Keita, an afro-pop singer and songwriter from Mali; Ladysmith Black Mambazo, a South African male choral group who rose to worldwide prominence when they sang with Paul Simon on his 1986 album Graceland, and have won multiple awards, including four Grammy Awards and Awilo Longomba.

Nigerian artistes to perform at the event are  Wizkid, King Sunny Ade, Korede Bello, Flavour and Omawumi who are all ambassadors of the telecommunication giants.

A statement from Globacom reads: “Our subscribers have been the brand’s pillar of strength since we rolled out service twelve years ago, and this is another golden opportunity to appreciate and reward them for their patronage.”

Meanwhile, CAF has revealed the top three contenders for the 2015 African Player of the Year Award.

Andre Ayew (Ghana/ Swansea City), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon/ Borussia Dortmund) and Yaya Toure (Cote d”Ivoire/ Manchester City) are the three finalists.
