Members who spoke with Sahara Reporters noted that the practice was yearly and intended to be a celebratory message of Maulud Nabiy, but this year’s message is different because they are out to mourn the genocidal carnage perpetrated by the Nigerian Army against their member in Zaria.
The Shiites procession saw sect members comprising men, women and children dressed in mostly black attires.
Meanwhile, members of the sect in Yobe state have announced that its leader is still missing. Mallam Bala Afuwa, the Yobe state deputy leader confirmed that their leader, Mallam Lawan Mustapha Nasidi, is still missing.
