The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele has lost his mother, ThisDay reports.
The CBN governor’s mother, Madam Alice Emefiele, who was aged 94 passed on today, December 25 at 6:20 am.
President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a a condolence message to Emefiele, in a statement signed and issued by Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant on media and publicity.

The president described a mother as “an invaluable component of family life, and the pillar and comforter of the children.”
In a related development, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) plans to interrogate the CBN governor in relation to the ongoing arms purchases probe.
