A yet-to-be-identified man has been electrocuted while he was allegedly trying to steal electric cable at a power supply installation in Kaduna on Sunday, December 27.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that the tragic incident happened at Accra Crescent by LEA primary school, Unguwar Rimi.

Alhaji Muhammad Gidado, the traditional ruler of teh area, Dan Iyar Unguwar Rimi conformed the incident and said that the police from Unguwar Rimi division came to carry the body of the vandals away.
Gidado explained that the deceased tried to steal the 150mm four core up-riser cable at the distribution sub-station along Accra Crescent when he was hit by several jolts of electricity and died afterwards.
He said the vandal was not known in the area and urged security operatives to increase surveillance in the region as they had been affected by activities of vandals lately.
Mr Abdulazeez Abdullahi, the head of corporate communications of Kaduna electric confirmed the incident and appealed to the people to be more vigilant. He advised them to always report suspicious activities around the power supply installations to the police.

He warned vandals and thieves to desist from their act as the consequence might be life threatening.
The police said it was conducting an investigation to find and arrest collaborators in a bid to prevent recurrence
