Wrestling: Oborodudu, others for Brazil Cup

To ensure that Nigeria picks maximum slots for the Rio 2016 Olympics, the Nigeria Wrestling Federation is sending 11 wrestlers to Contagem, Brazil for the 2015 Brazil Cup championship.
The two day competition  scheduled for December 11-12, is expected to draw wrestlers from different countries as an avenue to horn their tactical skills and prepare for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Nigerian wrestlers made up of two Greco Roman, five female and four male Free style wrestlers will use the opportunity to prepare for the Egypt 2016 African Championship which also doubles as Olympic qualifiers for the continent.
The wrestlers are  Mercy Genesis (48Kg), Aminat Adeniyi (58Kg), Blessing Oborududu (63Kg), Hannah Reuben  (69Kg),  and Blessing Onyebuchi (75Kg) .
Emmanuel Nworie (66Kg) and Tochukwu Okeke (75Kg) will feature in the Greco Roman, while, Welson Ebikewenimo (57Kg),  Amas Daniel (65Kg), Melvin Bibo (74Kg),  and Soso Tamara (97Kg) will represent Nigeria in the male Freestyle event.
It would be recalled the Nigeria has  secured one slot for the Rio 2016 Olympics through Odunayo Adekuoroye who won a bronze medal at the Las Vegas World Championship.
Adekuoroye also won another bronze at the 2015 Golden Grand Prix held in Baku Azerbaijan recently.
