The Nigerian army on Friday, December 1, announced that it had uncovered plans by the Boko Haram terrorists’ member to cause mayhem in Maiduguri and environs.

The army media coordinator, Colonel Mustapha Anka, in a statement, said the attention of Operation LAFIYA DOLE was drawn to Boko Haram members plan to use beggars to wreak havoc in the metropolis.
According to him, the beggars are expected to hide improvise explosive devices in bundles of firewood and placed them in crowded and strategic areas within the state and environs.
Anka told the general public to be vigilant of the terrorists’ plan to deceive residents by way of shouting “Boko Haram” to create panic in order to attract unsuspected members of the public for maximum casualty during and after the New Year celebrations.

“The command wishes to remind the general public to be extra vigilant during and after the New Year celebrations as the ban on bangers and fire crackers is still in force,” he said.
Boko Haram has been a huge security issue in Nigeria despite the fact that gallant Nigerian soldiers have been killing as many as the can, the terrorists group had refused to relent in its bloodbath against innocent and vulnerable citizens.
Just recently Premium Times reports that no fewer than 30 people were killed on Monday, December 28, when two female suicide bombers attacked a busy motor park in Madagali town of Adamawa state.
