New Year Tragedy! What Chicken Did To Buyer In Asaba Is Totally Shocking

It was a shocking scene when a chicken pecked its buyer to coma in Asaba on Friday, January 1.

The Punch reports that a man, Sunday Ibie, was attacked by a chicken around Konwea Plaza in Asaba, Delta state, leaving many to run for their lives. The big broiler was put up for sale at the price of N4,000 but was priced down to N3,000 by the buyer. However, in an attempt to tie the chicken, it pecked the buyer on his eyes.

This made Ibie fall to the ground breathing heavily before he was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.
The seller identified as Mama Ekene said:
She said:

“I am shocked by the incident I was surprised that it pecked man in his right eye as he attempted to tie it. He fell down immediately and I had to raise the alarm for help.”

The Police public relations officer in the state, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, who confirmed the incident to the Punch said:

“What baffled everybody was the way and manner the broiler attacked the victim.’’

She added that the seller had been arrested by police and is helping with further investigations. The spokesperson also said:

“The victim is receiving treatment at the FMC Asaba and he is still in coma. The bird removed part of the flesh in the buyer’s eye and inflicted a deep cut in that part.’’

Meanwhile, there was also tragedy on  Boxing Day in Lagos after Sergeant Stephen James, murdered three residents and also took his own life in Ketu area of the state.
