The former governor of Lagos state who is now a national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has expressed hope in Nigeria, Premium Times reports.

The national leader in his New Year message to Nigerians as contained in a statement on Thursday, December 31, said his party and the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration give Nigeria its biggest opportunity to achieve greatness.
Tinubu also noted that this is the right time to place the country on the right path.
The former governor said: “This path will not be easy as we must press to surmount obstacles that should have been laid behind us long ago.
“There are no short cuts to take to greatness, but there also is no reason that we cannot attain that greatness. Our new government offers the country its best chance.
“Thus, we must dedicate ourselves to creating a more perfect nation, one built on justice, peace, unity and prosperity.”
Tinubu, who was also a former Senator for Lagos West constituency pleaded with Nigerians to support and join hands in the ongoing fight against insecurity, poverty and corruption in order to return prosperity to the nation.

“Let us pledge never again to fall victim to these scourges. Let us pledge this year to walk together in strong unity,” Tinubu said.
The national leaders who is a Muslim, during the Christmas celebration also sent a heart felt message to Nigerians. He urged Christians to learn lessons from the birth of Jesus, which he listed as humility, selflessness, humanity and meekness, noting that this is the only way the blessings of Christmas will abide always beyond the celebration.
