Visa on Thursday, April 7, hosted tech bloggers and journalists in Nigeria to a hangout session at the Radisson blu hotel, Victoria Island.
The event with the hashtag #VisaTechFeeds, was an opportunity for Visa to educate journalists on card security and on Visa electronic payment capabilities in Nigeria.
On hand to take the journalists through the session were Omanga Juanita, director of risk Visa and Ade Adeshaye, Visa general manager West Africa.
Speaking about card security, Adeshaye revealed that customers and merchants are protected from fraud by Visa to ensure that the ecosystem is balanced.
He also noted that Visa has sophisticated tools in place to protect card users and repel fraudsters. “Things are constantly changing around payment compared to 10 years ago,” he said.
The session was very interactive with the question and answers that shed more light on how Visa is making sure that customers continue to enjoy convenience and security on products.
Visa focuses on data protection, data devaluation, responsible innovation and fraud prevention.
