As at the time of filing this report, the EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren is yet to respond to NAIJ.com’s inquiry on the assault.
Fani-Kayode was detained by the commission after honouring an invitation by the EFCC on Monday, May 9.
The EFCC in its invitation to the former minister said it was investigating corrupt allegation linked to a company, Joint Trust Dimensions Limited.
The commission further said it will be arraigning the former minister alongside two others at a Federal High court in Ikoyi, Lagos on a 17-count charge bordering on fraud and money laundering.
But on two different occasions, the absence of the judge over the matter, Sule Hassan stalled his arraignment, an act which family of the former minister have said is an attempt by the commission to prolong Fani-Kayode’s detention.
