The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Niger state has said its officers arrested three people for possessing human head.
The NSCDC gave the names of the suspects as Abdulmumuni, 34, Jubrishina Aba, 35 as well as 24-year old Salihu Usman.
They all hail from Ekpa village in Mokwa local government area of Niger state, according to a This Day report.
Commandant of the NSCDC in Niger state, Mr Philip Ayuba, while parading the suspects before newsmen in Minna, the Niger state capital on Saturday, explained that they ran out of luck while looking for a buyer.

He said: “Our personnel pretended to be interested in the human head and were bargaining on how much to pay before they were arrested.”
He said the suspects have confessed to committing the crime and will be charged to court soon.
Abdulmumuni Aliyu said it was his brother, Salihu Usman, who invited him to his house to see the human head and assist in getting a buyer.
He said: “I looked for a buyer for five months, when I approached one Isah to buy the head he agreed and said that he has a buyer in Mokwa town.

“When the buyer came we started negotiating the price with him and it was in that process we were arrested.”
On his part, Salihu Usman, said that it was during a hunting expedition with Jubrinsha Aba in Ekpa bush that they saw a decomposing body of a woman. They then decided to cut off the head to sell and make money.
He added: “Two of us decided in the bush that we will sell the head to scientists and make money.”
