Elkanemi Warriors 3-1 MFM FC
Elkanemi Warriors on Saturday, July 9, again maintained their supremacy at their home ground in Maiduguri as they defeated visiting Mountain of Fires Miracle and Ministries (MFM FC) 3-1 in an NPFL week 26 tie.
The Warriors exemplified a lot of finesse right from the blast of the whistle, and it took them only 10 minutes for Samuel Mathias to break the deadlock for the hosts.
Hussain Bata netted the second goal for the Warriors in the 36 minute of play, and both sides went to the break with the hosts leading 2-0.

On resumption, the visitors fought back and rewarded when Kinnedium Nelson scored in the 55th minute.
MFM FC were anxiously at the verge of an equalizer before Daniel Japhat scored the third goal for the hosts in the 65th minute to seal the victory.
Heartland 1-0 Enyimba
In the Oriental Derby played in Owerri, reigning NPFL champions Enyimba were beaten 1-0 by Heartland.
Enyimba defender, Chinedu Udoji was the culprit of the day as his gaffe at the death made the centre referee to award a penalty for the hosts.
Bright Ejike converted the spot kick to give Heartland the emphatic win as Enyimba fans left the stadium unhappy.
Enugu Rangers are now the current table toppers of the NPFL as their 2-1 victory over Abia Warriors on Friday, July 8 sent them to the summit.
Meanwhile, six games will be played on Sunday, July 10, across various centres in the country in the continuation of the NPFL week 26 games.
