We all know Olamide, CDQ, Reminisce, Lil Kesh and Adekunle Gold. They are some of the new school artistes who via their singing/rapping majorly in Yoruba have helped in renewing interest in the language. The same can almost be said for Igbo musicians. Phyno and Flavour are steady playing their parts, but there are others who are on the come up. This list celebrates them.
1. Stormrex
We were first introduced to Yvonne Akuabata Ogbuogu aka Stormrex when she was part of girl group Desperate Chicks who rocked the East some years back. Since ditching her group members and their awful name, Stormrex has continued to soar.
Her vocals on the Olamide and Phyno song Carry Me Go remains one of the strongest I’ve heard from a Nigerian female singer.

2. Zoro Swagbag
If you are an artiste and you don’t think word of mouth can do you any good, I present the career of Owoh Chimaobi Chrismathner aka Zoro Swagbag as evidence.
The Enugu state born MC has been around for some time but it wasn’t until he released his song Ogene which featured Flavour that Nigeria took notice. His latest track Achikolo is cool too and this is coming from someone who doesn’t understand very much Igbo.
3. Selebobo
This dancer, singer-songwriter and producer has already achieved some level of fame from his work with the likes of Tekno and Yemi Alade.
Udoka Chigozie Oku, popularly known by his stage name Selebobo still has more to offer. And his latest single with Mr. P (Paul Okoye) of PSquare is testament to his fact.

4. KezyKlef
Fast becoming the go to producer for pure Eastern sounds, KezyKlef has worked with top acts such as Phyno, Flavour, Slowdog, MzKiss, Zoro amongst others.
Watch out for him.
Which artiste do you think I missed on this list?
