The former chairman of the House of Representatives committee on appropriations Abdulmumin Jibrin has expressed readiness to any form of legal action over his allegations against the speaker Yakubu Dogara.
Speaking to NAIJ.com at the headquarters of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Jibrin said he has over 10 lawyers on his team.
“I have finished my own side of it and I am sure the commission will do a good job,” Jibrin said.

“Well I have over ten lawyer on my team,” he said.
Dogara filed a petition against the speaker at the ICPC.
He has also moved further to file more petitions against Dogara at the Department of State Services (DSS), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the inspector general of police.
Although all the lawyers were not allowed into the chairman Ekpo Nta’s office, a source within the Jibrin team told NAIJ.com that Jibrin went in with his lead lawyer Mohammed Abdulhameed.
The other lawyers and some of Jibrin’s associates were seated at the reception area of the commission.

Jibrin had alleged that Dogara, the deputy speaker of the House Yusuf Lasun, the whip of the House Alhassan Dogo and the minority leader of the House Leo Ogor and nine other members of the House illegally added over N40 billion to the 2016 appropriation bill.
He also said that he expects all the government agencies to investigate the allegations and act appropriately.
Meanwhile, the Ekiti state House of Assembly has slammed human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, for saying the Department of State Services (DSS) lacked both the moral and legal rights to carry out the probe of alleged involvement of members of the House of Representatives in budget padding.
The House described Falana’s reported comment as another display of his selfishness and political hypocrisy, asking why he (Falana) supported the DSS invasion of the Ekiti state House of Assembly and arrest of a member of the House, Afolabi Akanni.
