– Hip TV organisers of the Headies awards have finally fulfilled their promise to Reekado Banks after he won 2016’s Next Rated Award

– Reekado was invited to the Hip TV HQ where he was presented with his prize of an SUV

– Why it took this long for Hip TV to present the gift is anyone’s guess

Eight months after winning the Headies 2016 Next Rated award, Mavin Records artiste, Reekado Banks, has received the attached prize to the award – a car.

There was controversy after Reekado won the award over the more popular Lil Kesh at the award show earlier in the year.  That issue led to an ugly Twitter battle between their label bosses Olamide and Don Jazzy. However, both musicians have since settled their grouse and are now on friendlier terms.

Hip TV did not reveal why it this long to give Reekado the car.
