Jealous woman burned 60% of her body. 2 years later she shows her face

Life is full of surprises, and not always pleasant surprises. This story teaches us to cherish every moment and not to give up when confronting difficulties. 

The whole life of this 28-year-old Australian woman, Dana Vulin, has changed a few years ago. She was was very pretty and never felt the lack of attention from men . But one day, jealous woman almost burned Dana, as she mistakenly thought Dana was interested in her husband.

As a result, Dana received third-degree burns on nearly 60% of her body and her face. That almost killed her, but she didn’t give up. She survived this horrible period of her life and proved that you have to fight, no matter what you have to be strong.

After numerous reconstructive surgeries, Dana was finally able to take off her literal mask and reveal her new face. Dana isn’t concerned about looking different. As she told Australia’s Channel Seven’s Sunday Night, “I hope they see the scars. This is part of me now.”

Jealous wife was stalking Dana, even called her several times, threatening of ruining Dana’s pretty little face.

The woman broke into Dana’s apartment while under the influence of drugs. She soaked Dana in methylated spirits and set her ablaze. Dana could hear her laughing as she ran out.

The third-degree burns covered 64% of Dana’s body. Even her mother said she was left completely unrecognizable.

Dana admits, she was very proud of her appearance before the attack.

After surgery, doctors gave Dana special mask. She had to wear it for 30 months, which left her feeling “like a nothing and a no one.”

She was wearing that mask in court. Her attacker sentenced to 17 years in jail.

But that wasn’t the end. Dana was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She was in shock, but she refused to give up. She underwent a surgery that removed the cancerous cells.

Mask kept her feel herself faceless.

Finally, after working every day to heal, Dana agreed to appear on a television news program to take off her mask and appear in a fashion catwalk on television. She says, “It would’ve been easier to die, but I’ve never taken the easy road to anything… but if someone were to ask me how I feel about my body — I am damn proud of it.”

Knowing her story could inspire others, Dana took off the mask in front of the audience.

Everybody was amused to see her new face.

She showed an incredible willpower, confidence, self-respect, courage, and determination.

Dana says, “I am a strong person, and more than anything that I’ve learned in my burn is that I will never change and I know the person I am and I’m confident in the woman that I am.”

Dana proved that to heal the outside, you must also heal the inside. Now she can begin to embrace the rest of her life.
