Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has said that he is determined to make the Red Devils champions of the Premier League.

Pogba who missed the first game of the season to Bournemouth due to suspension is set to face Southampton on Friday night and he determined to repay his £89million world record fee to club.

“My ambition is always to be the number one.

“So the objective is to win the league. We want to go back to the Champions League because that is where we belong.”

The 23-year-old said that he is not shaken by his world record fee and cannot wait to get into the thick of things despite having a short holiday after featuring at Euro 2016 for France.

Pogba said: “I feel very good and have been training for ten days. I am OK.

“I am quite used to a busy summer. I played the World Cup two years ago when at Juventus and three years ago I was at the Under-20s World Cup.

“I have been training on my holidays.”

Pogba became the world’s most expensive player after making big money move from Serie A Champions Juventus to Manchester United for £89million in the summer.
