Rohr, 63, for the likes of FC Girondins Bordeaux in France as a defender later went on to become a coach at the club leading them to UEFA Cup final in 1996 before they lost to Bayern Munich of Germany.

In Africa, he has coached the likes of Gabon, Niger Republic and Burkina Faso.

Recall that NFF president Amaju Pinnick had confirmed the German’s appointment to journalists before the official announcement.

Frenchman Paul Le Guen had earlier rejected the technical adviser job because he could not come to terms with the NFF.

Rohr will work with the likes of Alloy Agu and Salisu Yusuf in the national team set-up.
