“We miss Etebo” – Nigerians react to Dream Team’s defeat to Germany

– Nigeria’s Dream Team lost 2 – 0 to Germany in the semi-final of the Olympics 

– Many Nigerians felt the Dream Team would not have lost if Etebo had played 

– Striker Oghenekaro Etebo missed the game due to a hip injury 

– Nigeria would play a third place match against Honduras who lost to Brazil 

There would be no gold or silver medals for Nigeria in the men’s football tournament following a crushing 2 – 0 defeat to Germany in the quarter-finals.

As expected Nigerians had a lot to say about the crushing defeat.

Most who commented on social media claimed Nigeria missed star striker Oghenekaro Etebo, others felt Okechukwu Azubuike was missed in midfield.
