“It’s like everyone who has had cause to go to court for one reason or the other has been a victim,” the SSS source told Premium Times on Wednesday, October 12.
The seven judges who were picked in the DSS raid in six-states, including Abuja and now have mountains of petitions against them are: Supreme Court judges Inyang Okoro and Sylvester Ngwuta and federal high court judges Adeniyi Ademola and Mohammed Tsamiya were also arrested in Abuja.
Others arrested in Kano, Gombe and Enugu respectively were Kabir Auta, Muazu Pindiga and Innocent Umezulike.

Contrary to earlier reports that federal government has dropped the idea of prosecuting them, Premium Times reports that the judges are expected to be arraigned next week.
It quoted sources as saying that the SSS is only awaiting word from the National Judicial Council (NJC) after sending proofs of its allegations against the judges to the judiciary body.
“We have written the NJC about what has happened and we expect the NJC to take some decisions about the affected judges this week,” one source said. “Once that is done, hopefully by next week or thereabout, we should arraign them in court.”
Meanwhile, the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have on Wednesday, October 12, arrested two more top Nigerian judges, taking the number of judges so far picked up to nine.
Justices Bashir Sukola and Ladan Manir of the Kaduna State High Court were arraigned in Kaduna state and taken to the DSS Headquarters in Abuja. An insider in the agency revealed that they were immediately taken in for questioning, while six other judges are under probe.
