The Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) gathered the media and advertising practitioners together at Renaissance Hotel, Ikeja on Wednesday November 16, 2016 for the 2017 Business Outlook Session, where they discussed the “Economic Recession and Business Growth”.

Advertising as the industry of focus is having its share as budgets are shrinking or non-existent with little or no brand visibility from the flagships brands in the industry. Major clients are either closing shops or downsizing, and there seems to be no easy way out.

The 2017 Business Outlook Session (BOS) provided a platform for Industry experts to offer fresh perspectives on the issues. It also drew attention to the possible areas of stimuli and contraction and offered guides that can lead business decision makers to device survival strategies in the management of the economic turbulence.

Financial Expert and Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Bismarck Rewane was the speaker of the day. He drew the attention of the participants to the possible areas of stimuli and contraction and offer guides that can lead business decision makers to device survival strategies in the management of the economic turbulence.

Other speakers were Industry experts such as Ken Ikpe (President, MIPAN), Frank Aigbogun (Publisher, BusinessDay Newspaper), and Kayode Oluwasona (President, AAAN).

The MIPAN Patron, George Thorpe was the Event Chairman and he addressed the participants by giving the summary and recap of key take-outs.

The session was attended by CEOs, Business Leads, Functional Directors and Senior Managers whose functions require the making and implementation of business development decisions that influence business growth and profitability in the immediate and long term.
